The program features contemporary Italian composers employing innovative trombone techniques discovered while searching for new sonorities that are reflective of the sounds of the natural world
I am Mor Giordano, an Italian trombonist currently based in the Netherlands. During my master’s degree, I deepened the extended techniques of the trombone language to approach the contemporary musical world.
This language is unique and enthralling, it takes the audience into evocative environments. It creates mysterious and intriguing atmospheres, but also more relaxing and meditative moments.
This is exactly where the idea of this project started. Taking the audience from tension to meditation. From the hustle and bustle of the city and work to the ease of holidays and pleasant moments.
Moreover, there is another important topic I want to deliver, the awareness of climate change, something that is really influencing our daily life. Nowadays, climate change is a topic that affects everyone without exception. Humanity has created irreparable damage through their reckless pursuit of progress. We cannot go back, but we can go forward. The need for change is irrefutable and small daily actions can help us progress, together.

Each piece utilizes a different ensemble to show how collaboration and union can lead to something engaging and purposeful art.
